Ayodhya: In a unique blend of mythology, sustainability, and modern urban development, Ayodhya is set to unveil an innovative “Waste-to-Art” themed Lov-Kush Park under the Smart City Mission. The project, estimated at ₹17.72 crore, will be developed near the Maushiwala MRF Centre on the Raebareli Highway and aims to transform scrap material into immersive depictions of stories from the Ramayana.
The ambitious initiative by the municipal corporation is designed to combine environmental awareness with cultural preservation. Inspired by the vision of Yogi Adityanath for a modern and sustainable Ayodhya, the park will showcase iconic episodes from the Ramayana through sculptures made from scrap metal, artistic installations, and interactive digital experiences.
According to Municipal Commissioner Jayendra Kumar, the park will primarily focus on the stories of Lav and Kush, the sons of Lord Ram. Their legendary tales will be recreated through modern artistic techniques to help younger generations connect with India’s mythological heritage in a contemporary and engaging format.
One of the key attractions of the project will be its “Waste-to-Art” concept, where discarded materials and urban scrap will be transformed into large-scale artworks and installations. Scenes featuring Lord Ram, Sita, Lav-Kush, the Ashwamedha Yajna, exile episodes, and other important moments from the Ramayana will be recreated using recycled metal structures.
Interactive installations and 3D models will allow visitors to experience these stories in an immersive way. For instance, the famous episode in which Lav and Kush stop the Ashwamedha horse is expected to be presented through sound-and-light effects combined with animated displays.
The park is also being planned as an educational hub. Schools and colleges will be encouraged to organise guided tours and workshops focusing on environmental conservation, waste management, and sustainable development. Officials believe the project will help spread awareness that waste can be transformed into a valuable resource rather than being viewed merely as garbage.

With major religious landmarks such as the Ram Mandir, Hanuman Garhi, and Kanak Bhawan already attracting millions of devotees, the Lov-Kush Park is expected to emerge as another major attraction for tourists and pilgrims visiting the temple city.
Modern amenities including landscaped gardens, illuminated walkways, seating areas, security arrangements, and eco-friendly infrastructure will also be part of the project. Authorities say the entire park will be developed using environmentally sustainable materials while combining traditional Ramayana-inspired aesthetics with modern technology.
Experts believe such public art projects not only boost tourism but also strengthen the local economy and promote sustainable urban practices. Officials have confirmed that construction work is expected to begin soon.
Once completed, the Lov-Kush Park is expected to position Ayodhya not only as a global spiritual destination but also as a symbol of cultural innovation and environmental consciousness, offering visitors a unique experience where mythology and sustainability come together through the magic of recycled art.
